“The Glass of the Architects rocks to the rhythm of the Viennese Spring” is the educational activity programme promoted by LE STANZE DEL VETRO on occasion of the show The Glass of the Architects. Vienna 1900-1937. Artsystem has curated different itineraries for children of all ages that combine fun and learning. All activities are free on booking.

Thanks to the collaboration with the MAK in Vienna, the renowned glass company J. & L. Lobmeyr have provided some glass pieces especially for the workshop participants, including the youngest, to touch and hold. The pieces demonstrate the most interesting techniques and forms, giving the children a uniquely tactile as well as visual experience.

The programme for primary schools (ages5-7) explores crystal glass and its transparency, drawing on a story by Gianni Rodari; children of ages 8 and 9 will create their own versions of Viennese graphic patterns with the help of carbon paper; secondary school students (juniors) will design a personalised decorative module and reproduce it on a linoleum stamp, inspired by concepts related to the decoration of austrian glass; finally the senior secondary school students will take up themes of Viennese Modernism, focusing on the deisgn and technical research that accounted for the success of the works on show.
