The Glass Study Centre is organizing two events at the Fondazione Giorgio Cini on Wednesday 5
November and Thursday 6 November: the presentation of the Quaderni del Vetro and an
international conference focussed on the exhibition currently on view at LE STANZE DEL VETRO.
November’s events at the Glass Study Centre begin on Wednesday, 5 November, in the Barbantini Hall of the Fondazione Giorgio Cini with the presentation of the Quaderni del Vetro, dedicated to Cristiano Bianchin, Silvano Rubino, and Giorgio Vigna. On this occasion, their respective digital archives will be published on the website of the Fondazione Cini, making approximately 3,500 items available online — including photographs, drawings, and sketches — each accompanied by its corresponding catalogue entry.
The conference Glass and Decorative Arts at the Venice Biennale, 1932–1942, is scheduled on Thursday 6 November, at the Fondazione Cini, offering an in-depth look at the presence of Murano glass at the Biennale, from the early 20th century.
