Corpus of the Archaeological Glass Collections in Veneto, vol. 7

The volume examines 328 glass artefacts, mainly of Roman date, but also Protohistoric and Early Medieval, preserved in nine museums in the provinces of Belluno (Pieve di Cadore, Belluno, Feltre), Treviso (Vittorio Veneto, Treviso, Montebelluna) and Vicenza (Bassano del Grappa, Vicenza, Montecchio Maggiore).
Many objects belong to civic collections; glass finds from archaeological contexts are also included. Among the most significant pieces are the small boat in the Museum of Treviso, the lamp in Vicenza and the blown-glass spoon in Montebelluna. For the Museum of Treviso, the authors have reconstructed several artefacts destroyed during the bombings of the Second World War.
The catalogue follows the criteria adopted in the previous volumes of the Corpus, with minor adjustments for the publication of Roman and Early Medieval beads.
