On the occasion of the exhibition 1948-1958 Murano Glass and the Venice Biennale, free guided tours return, offering visitors the opportunity to learn more about the world of contemporary artistic glass, through its history, techniques, artists and key figures.
Starting from 25 April, free guided tours take place every weekend, offering visitors the opportunity to explore the exhibition dedicated to the presence of Murano artistic glass at the Venice Biennale.
Led by an expert guide, you will discover the artists, techniques and key protagonists who shaped the history of contemporary Venetian art glass. Tours are scheduled on Saturdays and Sundays, at 11am in English and 5pm in Italian.
It is also possible to book a guided visit – for individuals or private groups up to 20 people – on any other day (except on Wednesdays, when the exhibition is closed to the public) at least two days in advance of the requested date.
Special themed guided tours are scheduled on the last Saturday of the month, offering an in-depth look at some of the artists and furnaces active between 1948 and 1958.
The third appointment, taking place on Saturday 25 July at 5pm, will be dedicated to Fulvio Bianconi, a graphic illustrator and designer who created a series of figurines inspired by characters from the Commedia dell’arte, as well as glass creations distinguished by their innovative shapes and striking colour combinations, in collaboration with the Venini glassworks.
Please note that on Saturday 18 July, to mark the Festa del Redentore, LE STANZE DEL VETRO will close early at 5pm and only the morning fixed-time guided tour in English will be available.
