The Glass Study Centre enriches its collections with new archives by leading artists, including the artist Silvano Rubino.
Silvano Rubino’s donation to the Glass Study Centre comprises a wide selection of executive projects, drawings and an artist's sketchbook, for a total of approximately 230 records that document the Venetian artist's career in the field of glass art.
The rich body of documentation, organised into the series Vasi Oggetto, Installazioni, Lampadari, Sculture, reflects the main categories of projects also realised in borosilicate glass. It offers insight into Rubino's remarkably efficient and focused approach, centred on the conception of unique pieces and installations through a coherent design process, shaped by close collaboration with the finest masters, glassblowers and engravers.
