Quaderni del Vetro

Second Edition

Cristiano Bianchin, Silvano Rubino and Giorgio Vigna

The Glass Study Centre presents a new edition of the Quaderni del Vetro, the editorial series dedicated to artists who have chosen glass as their primary medium of research.

The second edition of the Quaderni del Vetro is entirely devoted to Cristiano Bianchin, Silvano Rubino and Giorgio Vigna, three artists who—through different yet parallel paths—have contributed to redefining the relationship between contemporary art and the glassmaking tradition.

Edited by the Glass Study Centre of the Fondazione Giorgio Cini, the volumes offer an in-depth exploration into the archives, working methods and visions of the three artists. Through drawings, projects, notebooks, preparatory materials and studio photographs, readers discover not only the finished works but, above all, the creative process from which they emerge: a space where experimentation meets the memory of Murano’s craftsmanship.

The Quaderni del Vetro thus stand out as an invaluable resource for enthusiasts, scholars, collectors, and anyone wishing to gain deeper insight into leading figures of the contemporary art scene. More than a simple documentation project, the series unfolds a narrative: an invitation to step into the quiet workshops where glass—fragile yet powerful—becomes art.

To mark the publication of the Quaderni, the archives of Cristiano Bianchin, Silvano Rubino and Giorgio Vigna have also been made available online on the Fondazione Giorgio Cini website.
