Engraving, painting, ceramics, glass, design, lighting, as well as architectural interventions and projects on alternative energy sources, constitute the fields of exploration of this leading figure of contemporary art, who exhibited multiple times at the Venice Biennale and the Milan Triennale, and received—among other honors—the prestigious La Rinascente Compasso d’Oro Award in 1957. The volume retraces the artist’s career on the occasion of the acquisition of his archive by the Glass Study Center of the Institute of Art History at the Giorgio Cini Foundation. The archive consists of an important body of documentation—around 1,100 drawings and 12 binders—related to the artist’s work specifically in the field of glass.
