The book adopts an oral history approach and is based on the testimonies of four individuals, gathered through a series of long and repeated interviews. Specifically, the volume is shaped as a work “by three hands and four voices,” drawing on the accounts of the former production directors of two of Murano’s most important glass companies (Giovanni Toso at Barovier & Toso and Lucio Moretti at Venini), a master glassmaker (Livio Serena, with experience at various firms), and a plant technician (Giovanni Fiammengo, whose career spans from Ulderico Moretti to Effetre).
