OKARI is a brand of handmade necklaces, all unique pieces, whose combinations are designed based on the colors and sizes of the “conteria” pearls directly from the designer’s collection.

“Conteria” pearls are very small traditional Murano glass beads, monochrome and with wonderful colours, whether they are transparent, compact, shiny or satin-finished.

Made in Venice since the 13th century to imitate the precious “rock crystal”, conteria pearls’ production stopped in the 2000s and today they can only be found in very few places in Murano, where production was moved in 1291 in order to reduce the risk of fires in the city.

Over the centuries these “colorful small beads” have always shone in quality, variety and charm compared to the mechanized production developed in the rest of the world, and keep enchanting people with their colors and their increasingly rare uniqueness.
