The restoration of the funerary chapel of the Stucky family, in the Venetian cemetery of the island of San Michele, was carried out in the years 2015-2016 by the architect Emanuele Armani and the master mosaicist Giovanni Cucco, who for almost thirty years was the director of the restoration of the Basilica of San Marco in Venice. The interior decoration project was designed, executed and completed, from 1903 to 1905, by the painter and architect Augusto Sezanne (1856-1935), who followed the precise instructions of the client Giovanni Stucky (1843-1910), a Swiss industrialist who, owner of the mill of the same name located on the Giudecca island, at the end of the 19th century he became the richest man in Venice thanks to his entrepreneurial intuition and important investments in technological innovation.
