The volume illustrates the aesthetic renewal and technological innovation in Murano table glassware from 1920s to present day.
The volume complements the exhibition Convito di vetro, organized by the Gallerie dell’Accademia di Venezia in collaboration with Pentagram Stiftung on the occasion of thenVenice Glass Week 2024 and it illustrates the aesthetic evolution and technological innovation of Murano table glass through the display of a banquet setting featuring a selection of glass tableware – wine, soft drink, liqueur services, etc – made in Murano from the 1920s to the present day thanks to the creative genius of artists, designers and furnaces. The large table set is in direct dialogue with Paolo Veronese’s Convito in the House of Levi, the most emblematic banquet scene of the Venetian Renaissance.
