Corpus of the Archaeological Glass Collections in Veneto, vol. 1

 
This volume inaugurates the Corpus of the Archaeological Glass Collections in Veneto and presents the study of the ancient glass preserved at the Museo Vetrario di Murano. After an introduction to the Corpus and to the history of the collections, the book examines glassworking techniques and offers an extensive catalogue of the artefacts.
The typological sections include the principal forms of Roman glass vessels and objects. The volume is accompanied by colour plates, typological and inventory concordances, a general bibliography, and a glossary of ancient glass dedicated to forms, decorative and manufacturing techniques, and technical terminology.
