Paolo Venini and His Furnace - Verre Vénitien

Halle du Verre, Claret, France

02 April - 02 November 2025

The Halle du Verre in Claret presents the exhibition Paolo Venini and His Furnace – Verre Vénitien, a tribute to Paolo Venini, one of the greatest masters of Italian design and founder of the celebrated Murano glassworks Venini. Curated by Manuel Fadat, the exhibition brings to France for the very first time a unique immersion into the artistic and creative world of this visionary figure of 20th-century glass art.

Featuring over 100 outstanding works, previously showcased at LE STANZE DEL VETRO in 2016 and in other major European museums, the exhibition retraces the key stages of Venini’s production. While some pieces date back to the 1930s, the heart of the show is dedicated to the 1950s, the period in which Venini revolutionised glassmaking: traditional Murano techniques blend with modern forms, the result of collaborations with internationally renowned designers.

These masterpieces captivated audiences at the Triennale di Milano, the Venice Biennale, and numerous international events across Europe and the United States, becoming true landmarks in the history of glass and design.

A unique opportunity to admire timeless masterpieces and immerse yourself in the fascinating world of Venetian glass art.
