The new program involves students from year 3 of the Liceo Artistico Statale and year 2 of the Liceo Classico Foscarini in Venice, taking part in an experience at LE STANZE DEL VETRO until June 2017, which will enable them to learn how to express themselves in a work environment and develop creative projects
The students from year 3D of the Liceo Artistico Statale and year 2 of the Liceo Classico Foscarini in Venice are the protagonists of ‘Speaking with Art’, curated by Artsystem for LE STANZE DEL VETRO on occasion of the exhibition "Ettore Sottsass: The Glass".
The project – integrated into the Alternanza Scuola Lavoro programme – began in November 2016 and will run until June 2017, with the aim to teach the students how to collaborate within a team in a work environment, both planning and operating activities. During these formative months, thanks to a growing familiarity with the setting, its processes, its staff and the works of art, the students will develop their skills of oral presentation in front of an audience.
In the course of the first module, which ended in December 2016, the students from the Liceo Artistico were involved with the educational activities for children aged 5 to 8, in occasion of the exhibition "Paolo Venini and his Furnace" (11.09.2016 – 8.01.2017). The students accompanied the children in tailored guided tours of the exhibition, collaborating with the educational team of LE STANZE DEL VETRO.
On 16th March all the students began the second module of the program, studying different types and methods of communication with the support of a cognitive psychologist and experts. The second module of the program will end in May 2017 with a trial of oral presentations on occasion of the exhibition "Ettore Sottsass: The Glass"; the third module will see students plan a special event for Venice Art Night, on 17th June 2017.
