Discover the special free appointments designed for families, taking place every last Sunday of the month starting from April.
With the upcoming exhibition 1948–1958 Murano Glass and the Venice Biennale, the activities dedicated to families return every last Sunday of the month. While adults enjoy a guided tour of the exhibition, young visitors follow a specially designed path that concludes with a hands-on workshop led by an educator. A playful journey to discover the transparency and magic of glass.
The first event is scheduled on 26 April at 4 pm with Glass Polaroids, inviting children to create a paper polaroid with transparent layers inspired by the exhibition — a creative art memory to take home and treasure.
In May, there will be two special events: on 10 May at 4 pm, on the occasion of Kid Pass Day, a special Escape Room will transform LE STANZE DEL VETRO into a space filled with puzzles and clues. On 31 May at 4 pm, the program continues with Martian Landscape, a workshop that calls for a touch of magic, colorful markers, and lots of imagination.
Summer events
The program continues on 28 June at 4 pm with Ask Me How I’m Feeling, a workshop inspired by a question that only seems simple: “How are you?” Young visitors will create a special box filled with expressions and emotions.
On 26 July at 4 pm, it will be time for Who Sees What?. Among mirrors, reflections, and crossing gazes, participants will build a small room with an artwork and a character, exploring in a playful way the silent dialogue that begins when eyes meet.
Autumn events
After the summer break, the activities resume on 27 September at 4 pm with Balancing Acts on Display. Children will experiment with combinations and pairings, exploring harmony and balance until they create a unique and surprising vase of their own.
On 25 October at 4 pm comes Carnival Fun… No Matter the Month. The workshop space will turn into a small creative theatre filled with puppets, acrobats, and Harlequins, where imagination and fantasy take centre stage.
On 15 November at 4 pm, we will read We Have a Plan, a story made of images, anticipation, and small twists. From storytelling, a hands-on workshop will emerge, transforming the reading experience into a shared adventure in search of a very special little bird.
Finally, on 22 November at 4 pm, with Playing with Colours and Light, participants will create a personal folding book (leporello), observing how colours can meet, overlap, and transform — just as they do in glass.
The workshops are held in Italian and are available by reservation for children aged 5 and up.
