The Last Events

On occasion of the exhibition 1932-1942 Murano Glass and the Venice Biennale, the free guided tours are back. Join us to explore the fascinating world of modern Murano glass, discovering its history, techniques, artists and key figures.

Join our free guided tours every Saturday and Sunday, at 11am in English and at 4pm in Italian! Discover the exhibition 1932-1942 Murano Glass and the Venice Biennale and explore how Murano glass was featured at theVenice Biennale during this extraordinary decade of creativity.

Saturday 15 November, LE STANZE DEL VETRO will take part in Avventura tra le pagine (“Adventure Among the Pages”), a nationwide initiative combining readings, tours, and workshops for children, designed to bring young audiences closer to the joy of art through storytelling.

Additionally, every last Saturday of the month at 4pm, join us for Glass Portraits – Monograph on the Furnace, a special guided tour through the exhibition. We await you on Saturday 22 November at 4pm to learn more about the Orsoni glassworks with Laura Tonicello, cultural manager at the Orsoni furnace, who will lead visitors through the historic workshop and its traditions, joined by a mosaic artist demonstrating live how a mosaic is created and assembled.

You can also book a free guided visit – for individuals or private groups up to 20 people – on any other day (except on Wednesdays, when the exhibition is closed to the public) by calling us on +39 041 8627167 or by sending an email to: lestanzedelvetro.didattica@coopculture.it at least 2 days before the requested date.

On Sunday 23 November at 4pm, don’t miss the family workshop MM. Un mosaico di moda: with mosaic tiles, sketches and markers, children will have fun recreating the works of Sonia Delaunay, painter, designer, and pioneer of chromatic abstraction. The activity is free of charge but requires advance booking by Friday 21 November
